Our journey into chemicals began at the start of the sixties. At the time, our present Chairman Dr. K.K. Maheshwari – a college student on the verge of graduation in commerce and economics – decided to set up an independent business to manufacture Potassium Permanganate (KMnO4). Since then we have grown significantly :  Universal Chemicals today is not only the leading manufacturer of Potassium Permanganate in India, it has also emerged as a significant player in the world market.

Today our employee strength is over 400 people, including Ph.Ds, chemical engineers and highly-qualified technicians.
